This Privacy Notice covers only data collected through the site and our products and services where there is a direct link to this notice, not any other data collection or processing, including, without limitation, data collection practices of webpages to which the site links, or data that we or our affiliates collect offline or through webpages that do not display a direct link to this Notice.

Personal information means information that identifies you or allows us to contact you, like your name or email address. The personal information that we may collect about you broadly falls into the following categories:

• Information that we collect automatically
  When you visit our Website, we may collect certain information automatically from your device.
  
  Specifically, the information we collect automatically may include information like your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser-type, broad geographic location (e.g., country or city-level location), and other technical information. We may also collect information about how your device has interacted with our Website, including the pages accessed and links clicked.
  
  Collecting this information enables us to better understand the visitors who come to our Website, where they come from, and what content on our Website is of interest to them. We use this information for our internal analytics purposes and to improve the quality and relevance of our Website to our visitors.
  
  If you arrange a call with one of our sales team the call will be recorded using Gong for the purposes of training and learning. You can request that the recording be stopped and not retained at any point during the call.

• Information that we obtain from third party sources
  From time to time, we may receive personal information about you from third party sources (including from companies that provide marketing lead information), but only where we have checked that these third parties either have your consent or are otherwise legally permitted or required to disclose your personal information to us.
  
  The types of information we collect from third parties include your name and contact information and we use the information we receive from these third parties to provide you with information regarding our products and services, our industry insights and other direct marketing purposes.

We collect personal information for the purposes of operating, maintaining, protecting and improving our site, products, and services and to better understand the preferences of our site visitors and to personalize your experience on our site. We also use your personal information to communicate with you via technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages so as to support our business functions, such as customer support, fraud prevention, marketing, industry benchmarking and analysis consistent with our legitimate business purpose, and legal and/or regulatory functions. To do this, we may combine personal and non-personal information, collected online and offline, including information from third party sources.

• Vendors, Consultants and Other Service Providers. We may share your information with third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who provide information systems or who are working on our behalf and require access to your information to carry out that work, such as to provide customer support, quality assurance, etc. These service providers are authorized to use your personal information only to the extent necessary to assist SingleStore in providing SingleStore products or services.
• Third Party Applications & Services. SingleStore products and services may connect you to third party applications or services. If you choose to use any such third party applications or services, we may share information about you including your username and/or email address and such third parties may contact you directly as necessary. This Privacy Notice does not apply to your use of any such third party applications and services, and we are not responsible for how those third parties collect, use and disclose your information. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties before connecting to or using their applications or services to learn more about their information and privacy practices.
• Compliance with Laws. SingleStore may be required to disclose personal information to authorities, law enforcement agencies, government agencies, or legal entities. We may disclose information by law, litigation, or as a matter of national security to:a) comply with valid legal process, including subpoenas, court orders or search warrants, or as otherwise authorized or required by law;b) in the event of an emergency that threatens an individual's life, health, or security; orc) to the extent permitted by applicable law in special cases in which we believe it is reasonably necessary to investigate, identify, or take preventive measures or bring legal action against someone who may commit or cause harm, fraud, abuse, or illegal conduct, such as a threat of harm to you or anyone else, interference with our rights or property, or interference with U.S. homeland or national security or public safety anywhere in the world.
• Business Transfers. SingleStore may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
• Aggregated or Anonymized Data. We may also share aggregated or anonymized information that does not directly identify you with third parties.
• Marketing. In order to better understand our customers and to ensure we contact you on the products and services that you will care about we analyze pixel data from various websites hosting SingleStore advertisements. This data is then used for us to better understand our market and to focus our efforts on aligning our efforts with the people who want to hear more from us.

Your personal information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country in which you live. These countries may have data protection laws that are different to the laws of your country. Specifically, while our Website servers are located in the United States, and our affiliated companies and third party service providers and partners operate around the world. This means that when we collect your personal information, we may process it in any of these countries.

SingleStore allows you to opt-out of receiving email advertisements. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Security of all information is of the utmost importance for SingleStore. These third party service providers and channel partners are expected to maintain privacy and security protections that are consistent with SingleStore’s privacy and information security policies. While we provide these third parties with no more information than is necessary to perform the function for which we engaged them, any information that you provide to these third parties independently of SingleStore is subject to their respective privacy policies and practices.

SingleStore may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a Notice to our homepage or sending you an email notification). If there are material changes to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you more directly by email or means of a notice on the home page prior to the change becoming effective. Privacy Notice for California Residents

In addition to the information described in our Privacy Notice, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020) (“CCPA”) requires us to provide California consumers with additional information about rights and how SingleStore collects, uses, discloses, sells, shares, and retains your personal information.

Personal Information We Collect

• Name and contact information. We collect business contact information including name, organization, phone numbers and email addresses.

   You have a right to opt-out from future “sales” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.Note that we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA and have not done so in the past 12 months.

   You have a right to request that we disclose to you the personal information we have collected about you. You also have a right to request additional information about our collection, use, disclosure, or sale of such personal information. Note that we have provided much of this information in this privacy notice.

4. Right to Request Correction

   You have a right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.

5. Right to Request Deletion

   You have a right to request that we delete personal information under certain circumstances, subject to certain exceptions.

6. Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information

   You have a right to limit our use of sensitive personal information for any purposes other than to provide the services or goods you request or as otherwise permitted by law. Note that we do not use sensitive personal information for any such additional purposes.

How to make a request

Additionally, to provide, correct, or delete specific pieces of personal information we will need to verify your identity to the degree of certainty required by law. We will verify your request by requiring you to provide information necessary to verify your account or identity.You may designate, in writing or through a power of attorney, an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights under the CCPA. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require the agent to provide proof you have authorized it to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us.

Finally, you have a right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights set out in the CCPA.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. There is not a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal; therefore, our websites do not respond to all browsers' DNT signals.
