What is "MemSQL Advanced Security Option license"?

The following warnings are in the docs.

Warning

As of the time of this publication, audit logging features are made available and licensed only as part of the MemSQL Advanced Security Option. Before using or implementing this functionality, please consult with your enterprise’s licensing administrator to confirm that your enterprise has purchased the necessary Advanced Security Option license from MemSQL.

Which of the following does this mean?

  1. Must purchase a separate “MemSQL Advanced Security Option” license.

  2. Included in the enterprise license.

  3. Should not be used as a free license.

  4. etc…

Hi @kyoungho.kum -

MemSQL’s Advanced Security Options are not included in the free tier license or standard enterprise license. The Advanced Security license is optional, but can be easily obtained if you do not already have it. Someone from MemSQL will reach out directly to check to see you have it available.
