Is memsql known to work with liquibase? With it being wire compatible with mysql, I hope it works, but would like to know if someone is already managing their schema evolution using liquibase and if there is any constraints known.

Like you said, MemSQL is completely wire compatible with MySQL, so it should just work. However, I would definitely test it out first, as I am not completely familiar with it (nor have I heard of any of our customers explicitly telling us they use it). Hope this helps!
