Safe to remove old core files?

Hello,

I am using memSQL v6, and found many core files such as: /data/memsql/core.xxx
Based on documentation seems this are are full core dumps files that are produced upon a crash.

Now, after a few months this core.xxx files are taking a lot of disk storage space, I believe they are only useful for recovering data after a crash, therefore it is safe to delete old core.xxx files?

Thanks,

Santiago

Hi Santiago,

Yes, you can safely delete the core files.

If you send us a cluster report to bug-report@memsql.com we can check on why your seeing crashes. You can also reach out to memsql support if you pay for support.
